A Mother and a Stranger"

 

A woman was comfortably relaxing inside her house on a hot sunny afternoon when suddenly, a guy ran hastily into the house and said to her, “Ma please, they are after me. Please let me hide inside your house”. Feeling pity, the woman promised to protect him and allowed him to hide inside a room inside the house. A few moments later, 2 policemen accompanied by a crowd carrying a lifeless body came into the woman’s compound. Filled with fear, the woman came down the stairs to know what was actually happening only for her to discover that the lifeless body was that of her dear son whom she had sent on an errand 2 hours ago. To compound the issue, the policemen presented to her the picture of guy who was responsible for the act. Lo and behold, it was the guy hidding inside her house. The police were looking for him. Quietly but sorrowfully, this woman walked into her house straight to the room where she hid the guy, uncovered him and said to him, “I promised you my protection. I will forever keep my promise” …. and the remorseful guy broke down into tears which was of no need any longer. After that, the woman went out again, dismissed the waiting crowd, took her son and released the guy in her custody without any harm.
=> The virtuous voice says “ALWAYS FULFIL YOUR PROMISES TO THE LAST” but can you do this ? Put yourself in the shoes of this woman and say what your reaction will be over the situation. This is a big food for thought !
